Almost every Ajax device communicates wirelessly with the hub, so there is very little drilling, no chasing cables through walls and no mess left behind. Most standard residential installations are completed in around one to two hours — usually in a single morning or afternoon visit.
Wireless by design
Detectors, keypads and sirens talk to the hub over encrypted wireless, so most homes need no rewiring. Cameras and recorders do need some cabling, agreed with you first.

Any invited user can raise a panic or emergency alert straight from the Ajax app on their own phone. Where the phone’s location permission has been enabled, the location coordinates recorded at that moment can be included with the panic event.

Remote Health monitoring
We keep an eye on the health of your system remotely — connectivity, device status and battery warnings — so problems are picked up before they become faults.
SIM / cellular backup
A cellular connection keeps your hub online if your broadband fails, so alarms and app notifications still get through. The SIM is not locked to a single mobile network — it uses whichever UK network is strongest at your property — and it is IMEI-locked to the Ajax hub it is supplied for, so it cannot be used in any other device.
